Cogerson, avi or AVI is a video file format for computer systems, like stone island uk website MKV, WMV and MPEG. You’ve heard of Quicktime certainly Apple movie trailers in quicktime No I am not talking one other language! 😉

I am surprised Remo hasn’t been re-optioned for more huge display screen shenanigans, downside is if I remember the film the hero didn’t use guns, his physique was his weapon and he may dodge bullets. At this time’s young moviegoers weaned on violent laptop video games might not accept a hero who doesn’t have an uzi in each hand and a bazooka strapped to his back.

I am certain your copy of the Deluge is very uncommon….I’ve never even heard of avi format. As for Men in Black II that film was so forgettable I do not likely remember something about it other than it was really actually dangerous and very short.

Hahaha, wow, I thought I was the only one who remembered “Remo Williams: The Journey Begins!”

Cogerson, I’ve a murky grainy copy of Deluge on avi format, the place I acquired it from I can’t remember however it is uncommon. It most likely never will get shown on Tv. I wouldn’t be surprised if youtube has all the movie for viewing.

Men in Black II was another I did not include, I couldn’t get a good shot of the statue.
RedElf, thanks for commenting. I’ve by no means learn the books, The Destroyer collection, there were over a hundred titles last time I seemed!!

Funny! At least three of us stone island uk website noticed Remo Williams – it was on late-late one night time when I used to be babysitting… what can I say. The books were higher. Nice hub!

I needed to look up Deluge as I had by no means even heard of the movie before your hub. As for Batman Forever, I have no recollection of that scene, granted it has been many years since I have seen the movie. The remainder of the motion pictures you mentioned I vividly remember each of them.

I agree with you about Splash you barely see the Statue of Liberty….and there have been a lot better things to take a look at in that scene.

Cogerson, Optimus, Cyndi10, thanks for the feedback, they’re appreciated.
Cogerson, a hub gallery on Lady Liberty was overdue even if she is proven battered or frozen or submerged and her head used as a football by invading monsters. 🙂

I did go away a few movies out, Splash was considered one of them, the one shot I needed to make use of from that movie was Daryl Hannah out of the sea and nekkid but you could barely see the statue (who groaned ).

Optimus (I’ll wager that is not your actual identify!) I was a fan of Remo in my video renting days, Fred Ward as Remo and Joel Gray as Chiun made a terrific workforce. Disgrace there wasn’t a sequel.

Cindy, hello, Saboteur is value watching, it has considered one of Hitchcock’s favorite themes, an innocent man on the run from the cops and trying to catch the actual perpetrators.

Whats up, great visuals of the Statue of Liberty. Good analysis to find these. I suppose the Statue is like the watch, Timex I consider it is – she “takes a licking and keeps on ticking.” My favourite scene is Independence Day. It appeared so claustrophobic with the ship blocking nearly the whole lot. Due to you and Cogerson, I’m going to watch Saboteur earlier than the week is out. Thanks for sharing the article.

nice hub!!!! remo williams i assumed i was the just one who noticed that film lol

Wow I had no concept that the Statue of Liberty had been such an vital part of so many films. I’d say my favorites are from the Planet of the Apes….and what a manner to finish a film….as it permits the viewers to figure out the ending simply as Charlton Heston is studying the reality as effectively….among the finest endings ever….I still do not perceive the Tim Burton ending of his Planet of the Apes.

Remo Williams….I love how they took one thing that was actually happening(the contact up job she was getting in actual life) and included it in a movie. Remo Williams was directed by the same guy that directed many James Bond films and the hope was it could begin a brand new franchise….The identify is Williams, Remo Williams…simply does not have the same ring to it.

And rounding out my third favourite can be Hitchcock’s Saboteur…an incredible finale and one he would repeat in North by Northwest.

Very fascinating in regards to the poster for Escape To New York and Cloverfield….evidently the producers of Cloverfield did use the poster as an inspiration…..which seeing the pinnacle of the Statue of Liberty bouncing down the street in Cloverfield is considered one of the higher components of that movie.

A really attention-grabbing and enjoyable hub that you’ve created, Steve. Voted up fascinating and useful…..did the film Splash have a Statue of Liberty scene….oh never thoughts that’s movie that stars the actor we don’t point out….lol.

Thanks Rob, glad you preferred it.

Enjoyable thought for a hub. You reminded me of numerous scenes I would forgotten about. Good analysis. Nice footage.

Hey thanks Jools, this hub idea popped into my head late final night and that i rushed to finish it whereas I used to be nonetheless taken with it. One other day and I might have found something else to do. 🙂

The concept got here from screenshot quizzes I used to compile on my outdated movie forum, where the screenshots would have a selected subject and members had to guess which films they came from… aah memories.

Steve, actually attention-grabbing hub and the photographs are superb. Off to learn your Great Escape hub now, how’d I miss it I’m getting some weirs ‘unfollow’ stuff taking place over the previous few days, I’ve in all probability pressed the fallacious key someplace…voted up!

Thanks for commenting Rain Defence, much appreciated.
Fron what I’ve read the statue is hollow with a steel framework, her pores and skin is fabricated from copper!

The humorous factor about a lot of these photos is that in a few of the films the place she has been knocked over, someway the crown spikes have develop into bent. How that will happen to stone I do not know!

I like articles like this.
Yes they’re at all times knocking her down but she’s at all times up, prepared and composed for the following film, what a professional!

Thanks for commenting Acer, it’s appreciated amigo.

The Majestic Grey Lady appears to take a licking but she sure does fill a scene…she’s an ideal actress…Oscar!Oscar!.;-))

Hey Flora, hmmm I do know it’s not Cloverfield… let me see aah it’s Ghostbusters no wait.. Saboteeeuur. Love that ending with Lloyd hanging over the torch, his sleeve tearing…

Hmmm. I wonder which use of The Statue of Liberty you point out is my favourite…..hmmm. Hahaha. 🙂 I believe everyone knows. It would be my favorite even in the event you hadn’t mentioned it.

Nice pictures and references. Thanks!
No problem. They hoped that viewers would see the resemblance to the Escape poster. So you probably did. lol

Interesting hub! The Statue of Liberty is the right image to indicate in films to inform the viewer the place the scene is happening.

the part in Cloverfield was impressed by Escape from New York.JJ Abrams and the director pointed that out after the primary trailer i imagine
