I have really been looking at stats over several years and expected to see the higher quality videos to be watched more often.
What I found was that they where still watching the grainy tiny off color bad lighting videos and hardly ever watching the higher quality videos.
Same with photos unless they where more glamor oriented.
Has anyone else seen this in the amateur niche?

I'm working on setting up a blog network and was wondering if Google will know if I use some of the same content across multiple blogs and penalize me for it.
Here are some examples:
1. I'll have some custom banners in my sidebar and footer that will link to my sponsors. If I use these on several sites, will it hurt me?
2. If I write a post and copy it to another blog, is this bad? What if I spread out the posts over a week or longer? Or must I always re-write the same post with different words?

IMHO The whole 3rd party custodian was a very progressive move by Big Brother. The beauty is that it makes it easier for freesite owners to comply with 2257... When is a content trade not a content trade. Katja Kassin from www.clubkatja.com did a simple content trade.. 2 solo videos along with matching hi res pics. Stipulation was it was only for her site and no free sites.. no problem.
No we recieve the content and its small pics size wise...less than half that id usually use.. AND its watermarked with the photographers site , and the video was given in 1 size, very low res quick time format ALSO watermarked.

Affiliates with lots of traffic are looking for your promotional video clips to add to their tube sites.
We recommend that sponsors create dump/export tools for affiliates to easily import the videos into their tube site database. Many sponsor programs are already providing hundreds (a few have thousands) of videos along with dump/export files. Hats off to those sponsors, but there are still many programs behind on this. If you're looking for a good example of this, PimpRoll has the best export tool I've seen thus far.

what are your ratios for published posts and content vs. what has been indexed by the SE?
I'm noticing the SE aren't picking up all of my content and the faster I add content the farther behind the SE's get. If I stop adding content the SE's will start to catch up but I don't think I'm ever 100% indexed. Google images are even more unpredictable with indexing.
what is your experience with this?

Ive been writing my own custom descriptions for my blogs. Decent amount of text too.
I have been thinking, if i ever wanted to re-use the text would this hurt my SEO? I mean, sponsors give out galleries with descriptions and there are probably thousands and thousands of sites with the same short text content.

Putting your watermark on the videos and pictures has ZERO to do with protecting it. It's about "BRANDING".. that's a MARKETING term.. You want surfers to remember the name of the site and TYPE IT IN thus gaining the program sales they keep 100% to themselves.
