Any reason this won’t work?

  • November 25, 2009

Hi all, got a question for you about an idea I have for building very relevant backlinks. My strength is keyword research, and I have a bit of a domain buying problem because of it.
So my idea is to build a blog that I want to go after some specific keywords on. I will use several different IPs and an a post rewriting plugin.
So I would have one main domain, and then some .infos as well.
Something like pornniche.com and then pornnichesex.info, pornnichexxx.info, or whatever. I would write the post for the main blog, and send the feed to the .infos, that have the post rewriting plugin installed, giving them unique content. And I will link back to the main blog from these. The plugin I will be using has the ability to choose words not to rewrite.
I have the domains, the plugin(its not a free one) and the different hosting accounts, so the cost is nothing, and it will help me to monetize several domains I have that I just don’t have the time to write unique content for. Plus the cost of a .info is much less than a good relevant backlink if I were to buy it.
So what is the hole in my process here? I am already at #11 on G, the top spot on page 2, for the keyword, but being #1 would mean approximately 3k more hits a day. My big worry is it hurts the seo vs helps it. I would be risking about $150-180 a month to gain <1k a month. What am I missing?

16 Sponsors that are crap

  • November 7, 2009

I was owed payment from 26 sponsors in Spetember. That’s about average. However–16 of the sponsors have yet to pay.
I contacted each of them by email and ICQ to ask for payment (well–seven of them answered their ICQ). All I did was give them my account name and ID and a recap of what they owed me for September and asked for the late payment to be made.
Nine of the 16 did not answer at all. Just treated me like I was not there. The seven that I did get ahold of were all reading from the same script. I heard everything from "it went out with the wrong address" to "the zip code got put on it wrong" to "I don’t know why you have not received it but I will send you a replacement right away". And, of course, "it’s in the mail". One even swore to me, SWORE to me, that he had personally put it in the mail that morning. The fact that he pays me by EPass must have just slipped by him.
I am tired of the bullshit. Sponsors make it hard enough to do business as it is and then to haveto fight them for money owed on top of it is too much. The 16 in question are history. Their links are coming down. And if I do not get payment within 7 days I will hit the boards with their names and correspondence.
The 16 know who they are and know what games they are playing. But I want each of them to understand—even if they pay me within the next 7 days they are fucking out. And I will still, even if finally paid, take every opportunity I get to let everyone know that they cannot do business honesty.
So if you want to pay me then pay me. All you will get for paying me is keeping your name out of the public. The only way any of you will ever get traffic from me again is if you pay for it in advance.
I am tired of being fucked over by amateur assholes who can’t run their own business. Go screw with someone else.

How do you convert mobile traffic?

  • November 7, 2009

I have lot’s of mobile searches at my rss blogs , as far as I understand, they come from:
google.com/m/search
google.com/m/imgres
Lot’s of sponsors offer to redirect that traffic to their mobile portals. My worries are about redirect, search engines never liked them, do you have positive experience about it?
The sponsors say it should be ok because big sites do it like yobt and on.

th_00660_Untitled_123_923lo.jpg

This is submitting one sensualwriter blog every day to twans two sets of directories minus sexblogdemon and goldblogs.
Generally they just have 10 posts each. I did this so I could see what I needed to do to get traffic growth.
This is not all my traffic together but I wanted to post this to see what you think. Is this a success or am I patting myself on the back to much?

Linking to your own Blogs?

  • May 23, 2009

I haven’t noticed that a lot of bloggers are putting links up on their blogs to the other blogs that they own. Is there a reason not to do this? It just seems to me that if a surfer comes to your site and maybe doesn’t find exactly what he or she is looking for it might be a good idea to direct them to one of the other niche blogs that you have if possible. I mean if you have quite a few blogs wouldn’t it make sense to keep them on one of your own sites for as long as possible?

Do you allow comments in your blogs?

  • May 13, 2009

Do you allow visitors to comment on your blogs? If you do, what kind of comments do you actually get? What methods do you use to deal with spam or really inappropriate comments?
I am in the process of building my first adult blogs using Wordpress. I assume that comments on a porn blog would have to be heavily moderated, so I’m tempted just to do away with comments altogether, disable commenting in the admin and remove the comment links altogether. This is easy and means less work but possibly makes the blog a slightly less attractive proposition from the surfer’s point of view.
On the other hand, if you’re getting real surfer comments then that’s valuable free SE content and variability, plus you’re giving the surfer that web 2.0 interactivity that they apparently want.
So what’s your personal approach to blog comments?
