1. we had half as many internet users
2. today people are 500% less scared using CC’s online
3. internet was to slow to offer HQ.. and WTF is HQ !
4. back then little video content and low Q compared to now
5. and and and
still so many webmasters made a shitload MORE cash back then….
besides the few cam sites, "some" tubes selling ads. etc… that are doing well
we are nowhere near making the money we should be making!

Just curious and wanted to ask paysite owners: how much of your income is trial sign ups? I mean, how much do you made of those who only sign up for 1-2-3-5 day trials and than cancel.
Would you ever give truly free access to your site if there’s chance that surfer can sign up for monthly membership.
I guess that nice ammount of trials can add up to nice summ each month.

i know webmasters who will actually go through the trouble of copying links to sponsors and hosts, then removing the referral part of the link. they’ll even do this if someone offers them a ref link after giving them tons of info or help.
personally unless someone is a jerk to me, i can’t see any reason not to give a webmaster who’s giving me a requested link credit. it doesn’t cost me anything, and the programs consider it incentive.
so do you click on webmaster ref links? or do you strip off the ref or type in the url?

We have had 4 people who have bought our software in the last 2 days, and within 3 minutes of purchase they put in for a refund. 3 of which that didnt even check their email for the download links. Now mind you we use paypal for one of our billing companies.
And as you know with paypal at times it is fairly easy to get a refund If you chose the dispute reason for a refund 2 of them have chosen the reason that no matter what you do they get there money back. Even though we send all the information to them. But when you have 5 people in the last 2 days do this it gets a little irritating to say the least. But when you know they are buying it just to get the software for free because they want a refund right away this is deceptive.
So this guy today buys it and then 3 mins later files a dispute saying he didnt get the email or the download link When we can see his every move on the site with the stats we have. and then emails us saying he didn’t even get the download, when we know he did. so now he has emailed all day wanting to argue and has sent like 50 emails saying he wants his money back that he didn’t get the software, Well we know he did. So How would you handle a customer like this?
