Keyword Density: Whoever you ask will tell you a different % , but in my experience 4,5-6% for Yahoo and around 2% for Google.
Permalinks: The default Permalinks in word press should be changed because they are not very SE friendly. The default Permalinks looks like this “http://yoursite.com/?p=13″ where 13 is the post number. You can change the permalink structure via admin panel -Settings-Permalinks-and change them to month and name.
Content: You should always put more than one picture at your post, also do not overdo it and make a gallery out of it. I say 2-4 pics are enough
TAG Clouds: You should always use a Tag Cloud because is the simplest way to inform the SE about what your site is about and that will convert to relevant traffic. Adding tag clouds is very easy , its done from the the admin panel – Appearance-Widgets
Pinging: Pinging allows you to tell blog directories that you have published a new article on your blog. Here is list of ping directories
