Everyone can rest a little easier in the City of Angels thanks to Hugh Hefner and many other donors who contributed to keep the property that houses the iconic Hollywood sign out of developers’ hands.
Hefner donated $900,000 and brought the final tally to $12.5 million, enough to protect the 138 acres of land.
"My childhood dreams and fantasies came from the movies, and the images created in Hollywood had a major influence on my life and Playboy," Hef says. California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger adds:
"It’s a symbol of dreams and opportunity. The Hollywood sign will welcome dreamers, artists and Austrian bodybuilders for generations to come. I did what the Terminator was supposed to do, and that was to jump into action."

Problems w/ a model recruiter.
In the process of trying to be accommodating to a client who requires a pair of images to be posted in his members area for review, I’ve come into contact with a model recruiter who is not so accommodating. The images are posted for review for a system of voting, to determine which models are desired to be seen by paying members. He doesn’t want his images posted without both himself and the models being compensated for the test session. I don’t mind my test photos being posted, and every model I talk to does not have a problem with it either.
But this recruiter definitely has a problem with the test photos being posted, and he says all of his models have a problem with it, too.
Should I be accommodating to him, and pay him as he is requesting… or would you end the relationship?
I’m running out of patience. And if I’m fronting the cash for every test session he submits, I think it may not end up being a good deal for myself.

What’s the average life of a linux server?
One of my dedicated servers is 7 years old that is online since 2004. It hosts 150 domains and has heavy IO with load average 1.20+.
Sites are loading fine and the server never went down for hardware failure yet. But eventually it will die one day and I want to make it retired before it die. So I can avoid disaster..
What do you think how many years a linux server can be online 24/7?
