Can you imagine how much $$ we as an industry are losing not using PayPal?

  • April 29, 2009

Why Why WHY!!
PayPal is a business. Businesses want to make money. So WHY then is PayPal refusing us as an industry access to their millions of users and denying themselves 100s of millions of $$ ?
They could charge an extra high commission for adult transactions such as 20% and they would so easily cover any CB costs, we’d all be happy. Hell they could even charge a $5k application fee for adult merchants. Or do hold back, or whatever!
So why are they refusing? Is it regulation, religion, or just that they (Ebay) have too much money and just want to focus PayPal on Ebay.
Why doesn’t someone like CCBill or any of the big processing players fill the void by offering a P2P payment system that gets traction in mainstream as well as Adult.
There is so much money being lost by this industry from our exclusion by PayPal it makes me feel I’ll. We get so many customers emailing, putting in support calls etc etc "can I pay with PayPal"
Lots of questions, but this needs to be discussed by us as an industry. I can’t take it any longer!
Discuss.

iPhone porn goes 3D
March 21, 2009
IPhone lovers can use their hot devices to view steamy adult videos in 3D.
Adult Entertainment titan Pink Visual is filming porn videos that can be viewed in 3D on iPhones encased in Wazabee 3DeeShells tailored for the popular Apple mobile devices by German firm Spatial View.
"We’re really excited to be working with Spatial View to provide our customers with a new dimension in porn, so to speak," Pink Visual product manager Kim Kysar told AFP on Thursday.
"This isn’t like the cheesy, 1970s 3D viewing experience that a lot of us grew up with; this is cutting edge stuff. The best part is that there’s no need to wear those awful glasses."
3DeeShell is described as "protective skin" that iPhones can slide into. A window built into the shell allows 3D viewing without special eyeglasses.
"The adult entertainment industry has been historically at the forefront of adopting and monetizing new technologies," said Spatial View vice president of marketing Jason King.
"In the coming months, we will see a significant increase in 3D mobile content availability, both adult and mainstream for viewing on the 3DeeShell."
Pink Visual is shooting video optimized for 3D playback and had sample content ready to stream at its mobile website iPinkVisualPass.com when 3DeeShells hit the market earlier this week, according to Kysar.
Pink Visual saw visits to its mobile video service soar after Christmas as people turned on new iPhones and tapped into porn.

Question For Bloggers

  • April 27, 2009

I had a thought and well just didn’t know the answer so I reckoned I would ask.
All these blogs out there that many of you own. You write stories everyday and post them.
Do you ever sell site links mentioned in your stories. Your story could still be all about what ever it is about. But includes a sentence with a sold ad/link in it.
Is this ever done?

35 rebill user cancelled…

  • April 27, 2009

Alas everything good comes to an end, this dude signed up in 2006 and kept rebilling until this month. Made me $437 from just one signup!
At least his pal who signed up a month before him is still active, let’s see how long he lasts.
This is an affiliate signup, I have some dudes active since 2005 on my own site… and of course many signup for short periods repeatedly.
Share your best rebills in this thread if you like - I remember some program talking about their 10 year rebills not that long ago.

Whats the smallest number of searches you have targeted

  • April 27, 2009

When i research keywords lately on this new microniche i am targeting, it converts very well but damn, the number of searches is truly sad, not much at all,
If I really tried hard i could find perhaps 2000 searches a day on that SEObook tool, for all the keyword combinations combined, that would specifically target that niche
but as I dig deeper, I keep finding all of these keyword combinations that are like 25 searches a day that are EXCELLENT longtail phrases for this niche. But i almost find them by accident, since If i enter the main keyword for that niche, these never show up, since they are too far down the list , and 100 listings wont list those.
I have to use my imagination and think, hmm how about this? I enter it and boom it comes up.
Whats the lowest amount of daily searches you have targeted on a keyword phrase. I know that sounds ridiculously low. But chances of other webmasters targeting these phrases is almost nil, because of this, and enough of these phrases adds up in the end.
If you can find like 20 of these hard to find phrases, each getting 25 searches a day. and come out on top for them, that adds up to 500 clicks a day on your sites, which is worth the effort.

Bang Bros pisses on affiliates and shuts down accounts without notice

  • April 26, 2009

Dear folks,
the title says it all.
I have been an affiliate with Bang Bros since 2004. I think a made around 3-6k with them, more in the first years, less in the last years.
Once I wanted to login to check some stats and looking for promo stuff, I noticed that I cannot login anymore.
I contacted the support team, and the only answer I got from a guy named Steve was:
"every sale you sent to us that we paid you out on had to be credited back to the processer. no money was made on the sales you sent"
Thats all.. I told him: "I have absolutely no control of the payment behaviour by the customers I send you through your affiliate program.
Also I’m very disappointed about the way you handle your affiliates.
I never got a message from BB, that there are any problems with the customers I send.
Its no problem for me, if I have to switch to revshare where refunds and chargebacks will not be overrode."
The only message I got back was: "there should’ve been an email generated to you, check your spam folder. a lot of people have been getting them filtered out"
Btw. I have no spam folder (I have my own postfix server)
Thats all! Someone told me my traffic is crap, some signups came back, without any politeness, accound closed, money gone, end of story.
Is that the way sponsors should treat loyal affiliates?
After 5 Years of beeing partners?
Sorry, but shame on you Bang Bros..
Cheers
Tom
