Choosing how to monetize site ?

Guys i have read around quite a bit and i am wondering if anyone can just pass on some recommends. I have a new site and im a newb to the adult niche all together , and i was thinking of using "payperclick" advertisers to start off with. I am starting out with Blacklabel ad’s/ Adtoll / Exoclick and have placed ad’s from each on site to see how they work out.

Guess my question is , would u guys consider this a sound starting point ? Or would u recommend adding a different type of monetization ?

I am starting to gain some traffic as i have begun to do alot of link exchanges and adding links to alot of dumps etc. Any other important starting points i may be missing in advertising for a beginner? I know this is alot of questions and im not trying to be totally spoonfed here , and i have done quite a bit of reading. It just seems to be so many differing opinions from so many angles im actually kind of confused to a point, maybe more than i was on day one lol.
