Who are you going to promote in 2009?

  • December 31, 2008

The question is, who are you going to promote in 2009 and why?
What does that program offer, be it gallys, support, that makes them the one you want to promote in 09.

Pssst! Biz secrets inside.

  • December 31, 2008

Got your attention? These ‘secrets’ are right here on Netpond every day but with all the threads about falling sales I have to wonder if anyone is reading them. Put on your reading glasses, please.
I’ve said time and time again that everything you need to make it in this business is right in front of on this forum. No one else lays it out for you like Netpond does.
Here’s one from the master:
http://www.netpond.com/new-adult-web…per-month.html
If you want some inside tips on this business read the thread above by Sleazybear. It’s worth it’s weight in gold, so to speak.
You’re going to find that it’s not so much how many sites you build, it’s what you build and why. As Ana will tell you, we are salespeople before everything else. Learn to sell and you will make money. You’ve also got to use a little psychology when dealing with surfers because, yes, they are people and respond as such. One voice that is sorely missed these days is Pam. Check out this this thread if you haven’t read it.

Have some basic questions about terminology? Listen to Tigermom:

Interesting in learning how to blog? Rvince has a simple, easy to follow tutorial:
http://www.netpond.com/tutorials/125…nth-blogs.html
And a totally different approach from Twan:
http://www.netpond.com/tutorials/132…ome-years.html
If you’re like me you could use a lil help with being consistent and pinching every penny from your websites. That’s where _LB_ comes in with this thread:
http://www.netpond.com/tutorials/905…ur-income.html
If you’ve already read the above threads, read them again. It’s worth your time. If you have extra time go here:

I promise if you’ve read the threads on this page you’ve learned something today even if you’ve read them before. I did.

Xbiz article on AFF IPO. Russian Bank?

  • December 30, 2008

Interesting article on xbiz talking about the AFF/Penthouse IPO. Russian bank is now backing the IPO. The russian bank is underwriting the IPO.
Per xbiz: Renaissance Capital is based in Moscow but has satellite offices across Eastern Europe, the U.K., in Nigeria and in New York.
A questionable company with questionable practices now getting the backing of an eastern european bank and nigeria. I smell dirty laundered money. Just my thoughts. Don’t ban me for that opinion, but going to a Russian bank for underwriting an IPO for $500MM with $48mm in revenue is iffy..
Ouch

Went from a $175-220 site to $0 same traffic

  • December 28, 2008

I started a blog promoting one site and within the second month I hit $140.
Next month I didn’t add any posts but added a few inbound links but ended the month at $175.
(Traffic was about 175 uni/day pretty impressed for a 6 post deep blog with little inbound links..)
I then might of fucked it up and I want to know if anyone has had a similar experience.I started to blog about other sites offering some of the same niche…..example bbwlesbians was the niche, and i then blogged about bbwcutiesgalore which had about a handful of bbw lesbian scenes.(not really my site niche)
After I added in two more sites I then was promoting 4 sites instead of the one I began with..I now have a blog that has the same amount of traffic, but unfortunately is not a making any sales period..
offer one candy bar to a kid, the kid will grab it without hesitation. give him a whole bunch of options and the kid will go on a diet.. anyone had similar experiences?

Indian traffic vanished. Strange.

  • December 28, 2008

Since a year I have around 250 – 300 uniques from India. Now suddenly starting from December 12/13 they are appearently all gone. I checked my last weeks stats and found not only one visitor from India. Okay, visitors can suddenly stay away for several reasons. That’s normal.
But according google analytics my Indian visitors came from 55 cities all over India in the last 30 days. Would you say it’s normal that people from 55 cities suddenly vanish at the same time from a website?
