How often can I submit gay FS?

I know that some lists have a rule about not submitting to the same category too often. Most of them also have one gay category only. Since I want to be building more gay FS in the future, I was wondering about the following -
I’ve seen some LL’s mention once a week for categories. I take it that’s once every seven days and not once every seven submissions, right? i.e. I can do only gay, as long as I submit to them just once a week? As owners of mixed LL’s (gay and straight), do you feel swamped by gay submissions, or are you eager to be getting more? In other words, will sending in 2 gay FS a week get my sites rejected?
