How many sites, and how many pages?

I’ve seen a lot of members here and other forums with loads of sites, sometimes 20+, but most are only a few pages, so I’m wondering, forgetting the amount of work involved, how many sites would I need to have, and how big would each one need to be, to earn a decent income from adult?
I know its a hard question to answer, there are so many things that could affect a sites revenue, but for example if you think you need 20 sites with 3-5 pages to earn $2000 a month or if you have some different statistics, then I’d love to hear about it. I’ve only got one site at the moment so I kinda want to start planning my next site (and then the next, and so on)
